Simple Cinnamon Dumplings

What you need:
2 Rolls of Pillsbury Pizza Dough
8 tablespoons of butter
1 cup of suga!
A few tablespoons of Cinnamon

Preheat Oven to 375 degrees!

Start by taking the Pillsbury rolls and tear pieces off and roll into a 1" ball and place on a plate

Then, melt your butta in one bowl, then mix your cinnamon and suga' in another bowl

Start dippin'! (Butter first then the sugar mixture)

Place on a baking sheet (I put parchment paper down to prevent sticking and a mess)

Dump the left over butter on the dumplin' and sprinkle some excess sugar mixture over the top.
Then toss in the oven for about 30 minutes.

Put your cat in charge of keeping an eye on them...

Once they are delicious and golden brown, pull them out and let them sit for about 5 mins and start eatin'!

Monday wind down...

After a morbid Monday I thought a little fashion and wine was a good way to wind down... along with a little easy baking. Today my green venture buddy and I nearly were killed in the HOV lane by a single driver in a truck. I don't mean his relationship status, but he was alone in his truck, and he shouldn't have swerved into the HOV lane and shoved us into the shoulder. Thank goodness Mrs. B Kim was driving because she safely got us out of the situation, but had I been driving I am sure he would have run me right into the cement barrier. For the remainder of our Green Venture we relived all the car wrecks we have been in.
Then, on our drive home we discussed all the funerals we had been to because Mrs. B. Kim's dear husband's grandmother passed away earlier today. I teared up a few times in the car today remembering all the ones we have lost.

Thus the morbid Monday title. A hard, sad day.
So, I decided cinnamon in the air and wine on the palette would be a good cure. Recipe and baking process to follow.

I hope everyone else had a great Monday! If not, I suggest picking up a Vogue and a bottle of wine.

Cow pie, of love

Ever since Lindt made their delicious sea salt chocolate bar, maybe even before, I have wanted to make some sea salt chocolate bark. When I was in the north west in September, my dearest mother bought me some seasoned sea salt at the local farmers market. Let me tell you, it is divine. So, I had a little left over melted chocolate from the strawberries and I thought I would give it a go. I have yet to break it up and taste it do to my flu... But I will surely let you know. Looks tastey?

A Christmas Tradition

Even though it is only my second year with this tradition, it is a tradition that screams family, love, togetherness, and, well, Christmas. Even though we were missing most of the usual suspects (Helen was sleeping most likely, Jessi in MN, Pete in Heaven), we still were able to sing Christmas Carols and have some laughs.

Everyone, choose your favorite cookie!

Here is a pic from last year when Pete was with us. I am so grateful to have spent my first year with Pete serving the cookies and regulating the "Don't Eat Cookies 'til We are Done" rule. (Mustang Man has been the the first to break the rule both years I have been involved, and probably years before that.)
