The wedding date is fast approaching, and rather than feel guilty about not blogging (because I do have a TON of things to blog about, but I have no time to do it!) I have decided to go on a blogging holiday. I will not be posting until after the wedding because my life is filled with work, scouring emails, following up with vendors, etc... I just can't do it.
I will be back in July to fill the blogosphere with my wedding adventures and everything leading up to it.
Here is a photog of Pfunk and me when we first met in 2009...seems like a million years ago... (who drinks out of aluminum bottles???)
And this is us now, days away from taking our vows... I would be lying if I said I didn't have some idea we would be at this point the first night we met. I knew there would be an "us" and a "forever."
I will catch you on the flip side!
Hasta!

Piggy Backing for a good Cause...
... and in all honesty, I have been wanting to do this post for a few weeks now. If you follow Mrs. B. Kim's blog at all you will see a few posts (most recent included) about her BFF Sasha traveling to Uganda, you may remember this one... you know, the one about the Royal Wedding? Well, she gave a little plug at the end of it requesting folks help her BFF get to Uganda to help with Krochet Kids Intl. by clicking on this link and buying some dope stuff that Sasha's creative chums donated for her cause! So, buy dope stuff I did... well a painting... and when I came home to this box,
well, I was muy excited!
As quick as I could I opened the box to find loads of goodies!
Stickers galore!!! (I might need too go buy a new Nalgene bottle just for this collection).
And, last but not least, the painting I ordered. I knew I needed it the moment I saw it! I was so glad it hadn't already sold! Sasha's friend recreated the painting Miss Dior by artist Rene Gruau.
There are still several items left to purchase on Sasha's tumbler here and here if you want to help her help others! It is a pretty amazing cause.
Or, follow Mrs. B. Kim's advice.

Saturday Blog Meet up
Mrs. B. Kim told me about this bloggers' Meet Up and she said we HAD to go. So go we did... and we walked our feet off. It was a good opportunity to meet up with some ladies that have the same interest as us. We discovered some great new Vintage shops and met a few pretty cool peeps.
We walked all over PHX and fortunately walked by a photo that I have been waiting to shoot for the longest time. I think this is one of the coolest murals I have ever seen, and PHX is covered in different murals that are great. (Forgive the terrible Vignette. It was a setting on my phone I wanted to test out.)
And this sweet painting was at a vintage shop... and I am blanking on the name, but I loved the painting.
I did pick up one stellar item at the Grow Op
I got this sweet baby for $25. I think I may have paid a little too much for it, but it will bring me joy for years to come... even if it is locked and no key was included in the sale. Ah such a mystery!
As we were winding down the day's activities we went to Francis and Smeeks. I was on a hunger rampage at this point. I should have thought ahead and brought a sack lunch. I inhaled a Chick-o-stick in hopes of a little protein to liven up my spirit.
I have always loved the jewelry display at Francis. I would love to have this sitting on my dresser, necklaces included to complement my current collection.
Oh, and their soy candles... to die for... I wish this were a scratch 'n sniff blog so you could partake in the amazing fragrances.
The rest of the gals went to dinner later that night but I had guests coming over for dinner. I had to scoot home and get in Suzie Homemaker mode in a rapid fashion.
All in all it was a fun and a great way to spend a Saturday.

Craptacular
today was a craptacular day. I decided I would finally iron those clothes that needed ironing. You know, the ones you hang in your closet hoping they will iron themselves, or at least gravity will help you out a little. I mean, I finally have an ironing board. But don't let that fool you. I never took home ec. I don't know how to iron. So, I got 2 pairs of pants done, then my white sailor pencil skirt had gathered too much dust (I think it is the fact that it had to be ironed #1 and a thong must be worn #2) so I stopped ironing it as it needed to go into the wash anyhow. Then it was my fire engine (maybe redder) red capris. DEVASTATION! Apparently there is a reason for the heat setting.
At this point I unplugged the iron and sulked in the front room with my glass of wine. Nothing Mustang Man could say would make this situation better. Even the idea for "water" didn't help, as it just made me feel more stupid. I didn't add water to my iron... is that the problem?
Now I have gone through my favorite blogs and Fashion Toast revealed to me that I have nothing to fret about, or sulk about as things are far worse in Japan and I should count my blessings. And I do...
Now, I am glad that I am here. I know that I need to professionally press my clothes and I would also like a mustard yellow cardigan that goes with everything... except pink.

Spicy!
Shopping for spices is heaven to me! I could live in the spice isle! Especially when the spices have this kind of packaging!
