Bridal Shower: The Day of... or Day Three

In the morning, my BFF and darling sister had to think of a way to get me out of the house for a while so that all the decorations and food would be a surprise, at least the presentation of the food. So, they took me out to Java for some breakfast. I don't know if it was my old time feelings coming back, but my BFF and I sat and talked for nearly an hour after my sister left to head back to DHR. Not seeing each other for nearly a year leaves two chatty gals plenty to talk about!

After a quick successful round of shopping at the Magic Valley Mall, my BFF and I set off for my mom's house to do the trial hair and make up. Des purchased me clip in extensions, and to be honest, I don't think my hair ever looked so good! No, I know it has never looked so good! Imma model if you know what I mean, and I do my little turn on the cat walk, ya on the cat walk

Here is the final product. It turned out just like Des and I wanted it to. Shakespearean, and whimsical! Not wonder she is a stylist to the stars!

Once we arrived at DHR, it was party time. Wine started pouring as soon as the guests arrived.

The cheese trays were phenominal and my dearest mother made these AWESOME wine labels. They say our names and the date of the big day... not to mention featuring my second favorite artist's work. (Gustav Klimt). My sister, my Lisa, Auntie Lilis, and my Dear Dad put so much hard work into making this a beautiful event.

They had been collecting candle sticks for months just for the shower... and look at these AMAZING brownie bites. There were even some with Sea Salt on top... HEAVEN!

After the guests made there way out the door, we sat down to have another glass of wine and clean up. It was a beautiful day... One of the best days.

Bridal Shower: Day Two

Early Friday morning my ma picked me up to head to my florist and cake appointment. I had butterflies after meeting with the florist. I thinks she sees my vision and is going to make everything PERFECT. The cake appointment wasn't nearly as exciting, but I know it will taste good, and that is really the point, right?

Second then we stopped for a bite at Elevation 486 that was delectable! The restaurant is right on the canyon edge with a beautiful view! The food was the perfect comfort food for the chilly 50 degree day.

We stopped at my ma's house for an afternoon libation. There are so many amazing details in her house... I captured merely a few.

Her sun room is one of my very favorite rooms. And living with a VERY talented artist only helps the cause of AMAZING household features!

Later my BFF and I drove down to Blue Lakes Country Club, the venue for the Mustang Man's and my wedding. We were there to finalize the details like linens and rooms to utilize for the guests. And to try the food and drinks!

The views from the dining room are beautiful... and when the trees are green, it will be even better!

The food was great, only a few minor changes... which I think is a bonus!

This is where the ceremony will be, with a view of the I B Perrine bridge right off the Snake River.

On our way home, we saw a truck with ridiculous pipes... something you will only find in ID I am sure... Once we were home, it was crunch time for bridal shower favors and treats. Dad stepped in to help my Darling Sister with her brownie bites and my Lisa finished the favors.

This doesn't succ...

My sister's succulents arrived for the centerpieces last week. My parents home has been a frenzy of activity since their arrival.
Here is my handsome father and head ranch man at DHR opening the packages. Please notice the opened pouch on his belt. That holsters his Gerber, which he is never seen without. I think he even ties it on his pajama pants some how. It is a multi-tool, a modern day Swiss Army Knife (although I can't say for certain if there is a tooth pick). Anyhow, there have been many a Christmas morn where this little gadget has come in handy, and for cutting streamers too. Here you see him opening the box and package with it. His trusty Gerber.
They are just beautiful! And thank goodness The Parents live on a ranch big enough to house these guys. My Darling Sister's sweet mother has been tending to them daily and wheeling them around in a little wagon to ensure they get the proper amount of sunlight and love. (If it was a Radio Flyer wagon we would really be concerned).
Please stay tuned for more succulent news and the final product at the wedding!

Pink Bridal Shower Recap

So the Bridal Shower for my sister was a complete success! The only thing that could have been better was my hair, and having a dress that fit. But, the party wasn't about me, it was about my darling sister who will be married in a matter of months! We held the Bridal shower at The Parents house, DHR, which had ample space for ample decoration.
Here I am decorating the tree... but these decorations didn't stay up. A piece of advice, if you have a pink theme, and you want streamers, go darker than you want... otherwise it looks like the house was toilet papered... not so cuten.
This is my DIY pile... not sure there was enough pink! I made the tissue pomanders that I said I was going to. I love the way they turned out!
My decorated tree. Again, with the Tulle, go darker than you think... it's see-through
And here are the sisters, my darling sister in white, as she should be.
